Get Involved with the Global Trade Regulatory Review

Consistent with the nature of a grassroots organization, the Global Trade Regulatory Review relies heavily on the input of global trade market participants who share similar experiences involving trade and similar goals in improving the regulation of global trade. Importers, exporters, Customhouse Brokers, Freight Forwarders, service suppliers and advisors all have unique opportunities to observe the regulatory system at the grassroots level and offer constructive review. Agency representatives are not excluded from membership in the Global Trade Regulatory Review as their grassroots view from within the system can be productive and constructive as well.

Global Trade Regulatory Review will also make frequent use of member surveys to obtain input concerning the experiences of international trade professionals. The surveys may address issues that are national in scope or may be targeted to specific port locations or experience with specific agencies either nationally or locally. Joining this grassroots effort will allow your participation in these surveys.

In addition to the essential input from trade professionals, the Global Trade Regulatory Review will seek communication with regulatory agencies whenever possible. Records will be sought under the Freedom of Information act and, when appropriate, ultimate review by congressional and executive offices will be pursued.
